Get Ready for Rio Olympics with Brazilian Food, Culture and Dance

Destination Brazil will take place on October 22nd at 7pm at Chama Gaucha restaurant in Atlanta.

ATLANTA - Oct. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Atlanta-based nonprofit organization, Go Eat Give, has partnered with acclaimed Brazilian steakhouse, Chama Gaucha (located at 3365 Piedmont Rd NE #1350, Atlanta, GA 30305) and the Consulate of Brazil to present Destination Brazil, an evening showcasing the culture of Brazil. The event will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 7-9pm at Chama Gaucha Atlanta and be open to the public.

“Now is the time to visit Brazil,” says Ambassador of Brazil in Atlanta, Mr. Hermano Villa Lobos, as the development in cities such as Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre prepare to accommodate up to two million tourists for the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ambassador Lobos will share insight on the progress of public transportation and infrastructure, and how these improvements will have a positive impact on not only the future of tourism in Brazil, but also the quality of life for Brazilians.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a churrasco, or barbecue, feast, which will include unlimited offerings of meats, salads and sides typically found in Brazil. Chama Gaucha’s owner, Nelcir Muller, a Brazilian native, prides his establishment in serving some of the best cuts of meat in town, especially the house special Picanha and filet mignon.

Andrea Moreira of Dance Brasil will perform live samba dances in typical carnival costume. Andrea is a well-known Brazilian performer and has traveled throughout Southeast USA and Brazil since founding the organization in 1993.

Not everyone will make it to Rio for the Olympics next year, but at Destination Brazil Atlantans will be able to experience its cuisine, culture, music and dance for an evening. Tickets for the event are $35 for Go Eat Give members and $45 for non-members, which include buffet dinner, speaker and live entertainment.
